Digital Rights Management (DRM) is a comprehensive suite of access control technologies designed to control the use, modification and distribution of content, protected by intellectual property rights (e.g. software and multimedia content)

ELOT is committed to improving the digital security of the provided standards. In this context, ELOT uses Locklizard Safeguard DRM Software, which specializes in document security and copy protection for PDF files, protecting intellectual property from unauthorized use or misuse and piracy.

Why do you need Secure PDF Viewer?

To access the standards’ digital documents acquired from ELOT, it is essential that you install the Locklizard Viewer and activate your license, following the instructions below. This software provides a user-friendly way of accessing standards documents while ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions of their use.

Personal purchases of electronic ELOT .pdc documents can be opened on up to five devices.

How to download and Install Secure PDF Viewer

While downloading and installing the software, you must use a direct Internet connection (physically located at the computer you are going to register from) – and not a VPN/Remote connection.

How to activate your license

Once the Viewer is installed, go to the ‘Your License’ section of the email that was sent to you and click on the link to activate your license. Your license file may also be supplied as an attachment to this email (.llv and .zip files).
